What is AvoSniff?
An avocado-shaped fabric snuffle mat. Hide dry treats or kibble among the folds so your pet can use their nose to find them.
What should I put in it?
Use small dry treats or some of their normal kibble. Avoid wet or sticky food, and count the treats toward their daily food allowance.
What if my dog has never used a snuffle mat?
Start with a few visible treats on top. Once they understand the game, hide bites lightly between the folds. Keep the first sessions easy and enjoyable.
How big is it?
The mat measures approximately 69 × 53 cm (27 × 21 inches). Check the footprint against the space where your pet will use it.
Is it a chew toy?
No. It’s for supervised sniffing and foraging. Pause if your pet starts chewing, pulling or tearing the fabric. If they tend to swallow fabric, this may not be the right activity for them.
Can I leave it out when I’m away?
Stay with your pet during use and store the mat after the food has been found. It is not intended for unattended play.
How should I clean it?
Shake out leftover food. Cold hand wash or use a gentle machine-wash cycle, then air dry fully. Follow the care label supplied with your mat.
